Two sailors who had just finished a long voyage went home to their village and decided to have a few drinks in the bar there. When they had had enough, they came out into the street to look for something amusing to do, but it was a very quiet place, and nothing interesting ever happened there, so they could not find anything.

But at last, while they were standing in the market lace outside the bar, they saw a village boy coming slowly towards them. He was heading a donkey by a rope, so the sailors decided that they would have a joke with him.

“Hello”, one of the sailors said to the boy. “Why does your brother have to have a rope round his neck when he goes for walk with you?”

“To stop him joining the navy,” the boy answered at once.

两个水手和一个男孩

两个刚完成长途航海的水手回到农村老家，他们决定在村里酒八间喝上几杯，当吃饱喝足之后，他们又从酒吧来街上寻开心，但街上十分宁静，那里不曾发生任何有趣的事情，所以，他们什么也没遇上。

但最后，当他们站在酒吧外的市场上时，看见一个农村男孩用绳子拉着一头轤，朝他们慢慢走来，于是两个水手决定跟那男孩开个玩笑。

“喂，”一个水手对小男孩说，“你哥哥和你出来散步时，为什么他脖子上必须系一根绳子呢？”

“是为了不让他去参加海军。”小男孩立即回答。
